IATI is seeking an experienced consultant to work for a total of 35 days between the 2 April – 30 May, to undertake analytical work on options for long-term institutional arrangements for IATI.
The deadline for expressions of interest has been extended to 15 March. The working group will announce the selection and begin the contracting process no later than March 23, in order to negotiate and execute the contract the week of 26 – 30 March and initiate the work no later than April 2.
The comparative analysis with other multi-stakeholder initiatives and international institutions necessitate that the consultant has a:
- Basic understanding of the politics, financial flows, and operating environments of international aid, development, and humanitarian contexts and familiarity with transparency initiatives and the open data movement.
- Knowledge of international initiatives or organisations that are 1) fully autonomous associations and 2) multi-donor trust funds under the UN, their comparative governance and legal set up.
- Organised approach and capacity to conduct rigorous financial, legal, and political analysis of various models of institutional arrangements and comment on the benefits and risks of each
- Desirable: Ability to conduct interviews in English and French
