New videos for IATI publishers

  • Sept. 2, 2014

Need a quick answer to a publishing query? Maybe these can help.

The IATI Technical Team has published a series of guidance videos intended to help organisations publishing to the IATI Standard.

Mainly targeted at organisations wanting to publish their data using the Aidstream web-tool, the videos walk through the whole process of data publication – from data entry, verification, linking to the IATI Registry, and publication updates.

We identified a variety of support issues that publishers regularly approach us with, and used these to decide on a first set of guidance topics. The videos provide succinct explanations and descriptions of some of the fields and technical terms used in IATI and act as a first point of call for new publishers.

There is a playlist of videos explaining the step-by-step process of using Aidstream, and others for general use, including creating a Registry account and generating your IATI Organisation Identifier.

The IATI Technical Team will still be available for support requests through the [email protected] email address, but the videos will free up some of our time to work on other issues like Standard version upgrades and improved tools to support publication.

If you’ve got ideas for other videos that you and other publishers might find useful, then please get in touch with us at [email protected].
