It wasn’t just the victorious German football team who arrived in Berlin today – the Open Knowledge Festival kicked off by sharing research and learning on the impact of open data in developing countries (ODDC).
IATI staff attending OKFest will be participating in a session on Tracking development in the open on Thursday 15.00-16.00, where we will demonstrate d-portal and explain how IATI data can be used by partner countries.
On Friday, there will be an Open Development fringe day (09.30-17.00) where the IATI TAG will be hosting two sessions – a Glossary documentation sprint geared towards contributing to and refining an IATI glossary, and a ToolCamp that will aim to add to and improve the available information on tools and apps that have been built to interact with IATI data.
If you’re attending OKFest, Joni Hillman, Steven Flower and Ben Webb from the IATI technical team will all be there – come and find us for a chat about IATI, follow @IATI_aid and #IATI on Twitter or our individual accounts @JoniHillmanDI @stevieflow @bjwebb67.
