Africa Open Data and Internet Research Foundation are half-way through their series of events to promote the use of IATI data in Ghana. This project was awarded funding by IATI’s Data Use Fund earlier this month.
Africa Open Data has successfully delivered two workshops in Accra and Ho, raising awareness of IATI data, its availability and how it can be accessed and used.
These events have attracted significant media attention and have been featured on GTV’s (Ghana Today Television) Breakfast Show.
The events are continuing with the third awareness-raising workshop, to be held in Kumasi on 4th September 2018.
The final event in this series is a 36-hour hackathon, taking place in Accra on 7-8th September 2018.
The hackathon will bring together a diverse group of people from across Ghana to explore new technologies and approaches, and ultimately create web and mobile applications for accessing and using IATI data.
If you would like to attend the hackathon, please register here.
