Pilot: AI-enhanced IATI support

To better support the growing community of data publishers and users, the IATI Secretariat is trialling new ways to make our support service more responsive and efficient.

Starting in May 2026, users who email [email protected] or submit a query via the web forms may receive an immediate, AI-generated initial response.

What you need to know:

  • Instant Answers: The AI agent will help answer basic queries based on IATI’s existing guidance and documentation to provide quick responses.
  • Human Support is Always Available: If the AI response does not fully solve an issue, or if more detailed help is required, users can simply click the option within the response email to request more support. A member of the IATI Support team will manually review the query and provide a follow-up response.
  • Complex Queries: Detailed data analysis, account status checks, and technical consultations will continue to be managed directly by Secretariat staff.

Improving IATI Support

This pilot aims to provide faster resolutions for simple queries, allowing the team to dedicate more time to complex, high-level support. The Secretariat will monitor performance closely over the next two months and welcomes feedback from the community.
