Yemen joins IATI

The Republic of Yemen is the latest partner country to join the Steering Committee, the governing body of IATI, bringing the number of partner countries who are members of IATI to 23 – more than a third of the total membership of this multistakeholder initiative.

Eng. Kamal H. Masoud from the Yemeni Ministry of Planning & International Cooperation (MoPIC) said, “it is our pleasure to be a member of IATI; we look forward to working together to increase effectiveness and transparency”.

The partner country caucus in IATI provides a vital connection to the needs of data users and drives one of the principle motivations behind IATI – to improve the information that partner country governments can access about resources coming into their countries.
