The UN Development System has published information on UN pool funds to IATI for the first time.
The funds support broad UN work in areas such as humanitarian interventions, peacebuilding, development and climate change, and are not earmarked to a specific UN agency. Examples of UN Pooled Funds include the UN Peacebuilding Fund (PBF) and the Central Emergency Response Fund (CERF).
The new data represents a large segment of UN operational activities not previously published to IATI. UN Pooled Funds amount to around $1.7 billion, that’s 7- 8% of the total funding for all the UN’s operational activities.
