Global software company, Synergy International Systems has become IATI’s latest member. Founded nearly 20 years ago, Synergy supports governments, non-profits, international and private sector organisations to become more data-driven to achieve their goals.
Synergy was first involved in the initiative back in 2009, participating in regional consultations to help create the IATI Standard. Since then, the organisation has supported developing countries to use IATI data, including piloting its integration with the Rwandan government’s Aid Information Management System in June 2010.
Synergy has also been an active member of IATI’s community, attending key internal meetings including the TAG and Steering Committee.
David Kocharov, Director for Monitoring and Evaluation says: “We have been promoting the principles of open data and transparency through our international work for many years now. Joining IATI as a formal member will further enhance the visibility of our commitment and our work.
“We plan to continue being involved in IATI meetings, promoting IATI through our social media channels and international work with partner countries, as well as creating IATI tools for data exchange.”
They join over 70 organisations on IATI’s Members’ Assembly from across the development sector. More information on our members and how to join can be found here.
