IATI's Governing Board is establishing three new Working Groups: a Technical Working Group (TWG), a reinstated Data Use Working Group, and a Publishing Working Group. These new Working Groups are launched on the initiative of the Governing Board in response to requests from the IATI community.
Technical Working Group - express your interest in joining
The Governing Board is now inviting you to join the Technical Working Group (TWG). Members of the TWG do not need to be IATI members, but are ideally involved in the development of tools, the IATI Standard and/or other technical topics.
Express your interest in joining by Thursday 9 February
The Board plan to set up a first meeting between 13-17 February, depending on availability of the group members. This meeting will inform preparations for sessions in the Community Event in March.
Upcoming Community Event (15-16 March, Copenhagen)
As a starting point, the Board proposes that the Technical Working Group prepare the following topics for sessions at the upcoming Community Event (15-16 March, Copenhagen):
- Updating the Standard: what is next?
- Technical Stock Taking: where do we stand?
The Board hope these sessions can take the form of discussions, facilitated by the TWG and, if available by then, the Technical Seat of the Board, Pelle Aardema. The Board also strongly encourages the TWG to discuss other topics it deems important and advise the Board on these. Time investment and frequency of meetings will be decided by the Group itself. There is a draft Terms of Reference which will be finalised by the TWG and the Board together.
