IATI Implementation at DFID

For those of you unable to attend the IATI Steering Committee meeting in Paris in February, we have produced a short narrated presentation on DFID’s experiences of implementing IATI publication.

The presentation outlines the main challenges faced and lessons learned by DFID, covering the policy environment, cultural challenges among the main stakeholders, and technical and people challenges around implementation. The team structure, roles and technical architecture used by DFID are also outlined.

Obviously a 10 minute presentation only allows us to share a broad overview of our experiences and challenges. DFID would be happy to share more detail about our experience with others seeking to implement the standard.

We are also willing to share our technical architecture and code for others to learn from, reuse or adapt.
