Meeting at UNDP Headquarters in New York following biennial elections in March, IATI Governing Board members unanimously agreed to appoint Theo van de Sande from the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs as Chair.
For the first time the Board also agreed to appoint two Vice-Chairs, Kazi Shofiqul Azam from the Economic Relations Division of the Government of Bangladesh, and Sarah Johns from the UK-based international development network, Bond.
The Board and Secretariat extend sincere thanks to Stephen Potter from Global Affairs Canada for his generous contribution as Chair of the Board over the past two years, supported by Yohanna Loucheur as Alternate.
