Belgium signs up to IATI

The International Aid Transparency Initiative (IATI) this month welcomes Belgium as the latest governmental signatory to the initiative. This takes the total number of signatories to 35. Belgium showed exceptional leadership in supporting the IATI common standard and the transparency movement at Busan. By signing up to IATI, Belgium is signalling its continued commitment to this agenda.

Through IATI’s common standard, donor countries such as Belgium aim to make aid information more comprehensive, timely and comparable. Signatories to IATI currently account for 75% of Official Development Finance.
