Aidstream Upgraded Today

  • Sept. 16, 2015

Aidstream is a tool that supports development cooperation providers to publish their data to IATI, using a simple and user-friendly web entry form. Many small- and medium-sized organisations are currently using Aidstream to publish information about their work to IATI.

Aidstream works by converting project information entered through the web entry form, or completed excel template, into files of IATI XML formatted data. For this reason it’s really popular with organisations who want to publish data but have limited technical capacity or more simple internal systems.

Upgrade

Today, Aidstream has been upgraded to create even more benefits for users. These include:

  • Publication of activities using of the latest version of the IATI Standard, 2.01
  • A number of mandatory fields that all activities must now contain
  • Changes to the activity’s location information.

What does this mean for Aidstream users?

Most publishers using Aidstream already will not need to take any specific action. The login details remain the same, and existing published XML files will not change. Some users have published activities that contain data that will need to be updated before republishing using the new version, but we will be contacting these organisations with specific actions very shortly.

If you have any questions regarding the upgrade, or want to find out about using Aidstream as a tool to publish, either visit the Aidstream website or contact the IATI Support desk [email protected]
