A session on IATI will be held at this week’s European Development Days in Brussels.
The event, entitled ‘Opening up with the International Aid Transparency Initiative’, will take place on Thursday 16 June, 13:00 – 14:15 and is co-organised by IATI Secretariat member Sida and IATI Governing Board member Bond, along with Cordaid, Plan International Finland and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).
Within the context of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Data Revolution Report, this session will introduce IATI and look at how the initiative promotes accountability and transparency. Speakers at the session represent organisations from across the aid delivery chain and will share valuable insights on their involvement in the multi-stakeholder initiative.
The session will be moderated by Sida’s Joachim Beijmo and panellists will reflect upon the benefits of IATI, discuss challenges and opportunities, as well as the need for better data use for evidence-based development:
