Data4Development is advertising IATI Publisher Starter Training, their upcoming course on how to publish data to the International Aid Transparency Initiative (IATI).

For many organisations, publishing data to IATI is a prerequisite to gaining funding from the UK, Dutch and Belgian governments. IATI Publisher Starter Training is designed for organisations that want to start working with IATI to share information about their activities, enhance their transparency and meet donor requirements.

The training is specifically aimed at those responsible for publishing IATI data such as finance staff. In addition, the course may also help interested decision makers understand more about IATI.

Goal of the training

At the end of the training Data4Development say you will:

  • Understand the goal of IATI and what you can use IATI for;
  • Understand the main concepts of an IATI publication and be able to work with them in practice;
  • Have developed a structure of your publishing activities (units), to be used as a base for your IATI publication;
  • Have made a practical plan on how to move your organisation forward with IATI after the training.

Dates:

The first course of 2019 will take place on 3 July 2019 (Session 1) and 11 September 2019 (Session 2).
